Mama is so busy taking care of Cole and me that she says she won't have time to help both me and Cole with our own blogs. So she has decided to start one new blog about the Kvien kids. The new blog's site is: kvienkids.blogspot.com

Walking

I can walk by myself finally! I've been getting a little more adventuresome little by little. I would stand by mommy and let go, forgetting for a little while that I was standing alone. But as soon as I remembered, I'd get scared and let go. And I would walk just a couple steps from the couch to the chair where Daddy was sitting. But not much more!

On December 29th, I would walk the whole length of the couch, not holding on, but standing REALLY close to it so I wouldn't fall. Finally on December 30th, I decided to take a few steps from the couch to Daddy, who was sitting in the middle of the living room floor. Then I'd walk from one couch across the room to the other. By the end of the night, I was even trying to walk from the living room into the dining room!



By the end of the week (January 2nd), I was walking up and down the halls in the clinic with Dad while we waiting for Mommy during her appointment. There were lots of ladies there who all kept saying I was "so cute" and were impressed with how well I could walk so soon.



This walking thing is lots of fun! I can't wait to run!!!

Christmas 08

I had lots of fun this Christmas! Sadly there was a blizzard so there was no Kvien Christmas :( Hopefully I will see my grandparents, aunts/uncles and cousins on that side soon! But I got to celebrate Christmas 3 other times!

First was with the Tang's. Those Tang girls are very silly! And they kept grabbing my chubby cheeks, but they did think I was a cutie. Then it was with the Jensen's (Grandma Donna's side of the family). There were lots of other kids there, all of my cousins. And I got to see Cousin Jacob who is 2 weeks older than me. He is a crazy kid! He can walk and run and climb up on things. Mom and Dad kept saying he was a monkey!

And then on Christmas Day, we went over to Grandpa and Grandma's again for even more presents. I got so many toys. One of my favorites was my wagon. Then we went out to eat and I got to play with crayons again. And I even practiced feeding myself. What a fun Christmas!

Baby K Pics

I don't really understand it yet but Daddy and Mama said that I'm going to have a baby sibling. They try to have me kiss Mommy's belly but I like to bite it and hit it instead. Mommy went in for an ultrasound and got pictures of the baby. They say the baby looks a little like me and Daddy but looks more like Mommy. Maybe someday I'll figure out what all this means.

Christmas Card Family Picture Attempt

Mommy and Daddy tried to have Auntie take a picture of all of us by the Christmas tree. It was so boring though and I was tired, so I just wouldn't sit still. I don't think Mama and Daddy were too happy with me. They ended up just taking a picture of the two of them without me!

My 1st Birthday Party

I had my very first birthday party ever on November 15th. There were lots of people there to help me celebrate. I had so much fun and got all kinds of gifts. Mommy and Daddy said I get to have a birthday every year!

1st Year Pictures

On November 11, Mommy and Auntie Holly took me in for my one year pictures. I fell asleep on the way into town so I was fussy and needy during my pictures. But the lady taking pictures was really funny and she somehow still got me to smile during my pictures.

Auntie played with me while Mama ordered some pictures. When we got home, I was wide awake and in a really goofy mood. Mommy said too bad I hadn't been like the for my pictures. But I think they still turned out really cute. But I'm always cute : )

First Halloween

On October 31, it was my very first Halloween. Mama dressed me up as Blue from "Blue's Clues", my favorite show!

Mommy took me over to Grandma Donna's so she could see me all dressed up. Grandma gave me a couple of Halloween books and a cupcake - yummy! Then Mom and me went into FUB's where Auntie Holly was too. They all thought I looked so cute in my costume! We had supper and then FUB fed me some chocolate from their candy basket. I LOVE chocolate.

I fell asleep on the car ride home but was wide awake when we got home. Daddy finally got done with work so we got to play together for a little while before I was ready for bed.
