Second Greenbush Trip July 2008

Mommy and Daddy thought we'd better get up to Greenbush one last time since Daddy doesn't like Mommy traveling after she has her cerclage (Mama helped me w/ the spelling of that one). This trip up, I didn't sleep much so Mommy drove and Daddy played in the backseat w/ me. Though they wouldn't let me out of my stupid car seat - argh!

We stayed with the Burkels again this time and they were even crazier than last time. A couple times I just went and hid in the bedroom with Mama to get some peace and quiet. I am sure not used to having 4 kids around. I hope my new brother or sister isn't so noisy!

This time I got to see Grandpa Randy and Grandma Doris too so that was lots of fun. And on Sunday there was a birthday party for Ben so I got to see Grandpa Jack and Grandma Karolyn again. I had a lot of fun but boy was I happy to be home!

Father's Day

It was Daddy's first Father's Day. We went out to eat at LoneStar. Grandpa Ronnie, Grandma Donna, Auntie Holly and FUB came too. Then we stopped at Dairy Queen for ice cream. I even got some whipped cream. It was a fun day. We were all so popped that we took a nap and then Daddy opened all the presents I got him. He loved them all.

Fourth of July!

It was my very first Fourth of July. And it was also Auntie Holly's birthday. We went out to eat at Mexican Village. I got to see John, Kelly and John Karl (Ahola). My uncles Brian and Brent were also in town. Then FUB (Future Uncle Brent), Auntie and Kari came over to play games. It was a long day but I had a lot of fun. I got too tired though so I'll have to wait until next year when I'm older for fireworks.

First Summer Greenbush Trip - June 2008

I hadn't seen my grandparents or aunties or uncles or cousins in forever so we finally got to go to Greenbush to see them. It sure was a long drive but I slept the whole way up. We stayed with Auntie Aimee, Uncle Steve and my cousins Ben, Sam, Kate and Laura. Wow staying there is just a bit different than being at home w/ just Mommy and Daddy. But I had fun. They sure are crazy!

I got to visit Grandpa Jack and Grandma Karolyn in Roseau. And Grandma Cheryl came over one day for breakfast. Auntie Meghan, Uncle Aaron and cousins Landon and Lauren came too. It was so much fun to see all of them.

Big boy stuff

I've been doing some other big boy stuff too. I have two teeth! They are so much fun to feel with my fingers and tongue. And Mommy says I got more coming on the top. I wish they'd come in because sometimes they hurt. I got my first teeth on May 30th.

I've also been drinking out of a sippy cup sometimes (though a bottle is so much easier). And I've been trying to eat some big boy foods. I had some teething biscuits to start...that helped a little when my teeth hurt so bad. I eat puffs and cheese and my favorite is hard boiled egg yolk. Daddy told Mama to put a little butter in there and it makes it so yummy. I can't wait til I have more teeth so I can have some steak!

FINALLY!!

Daddy and Mommy FINALLY got a laptop and wireless so I can update my posts. I tell ya, you really gotta get on those two to get anything done...sheesh. I am getting to be such a big boy...in more ways than one! I am still chunky as always and that has made it kinda hard for me to do some things, but I've been doing all of them for a couple months now.

I'm rolling around like crazy and scooting around too. Mama can't keep up w/ me now...it's gonna be great when I can crawl and walk - she'll never catch up!! It took me a while to sit up on my own too. I kept toppling over because of this silly belly and my short little legs. But I've been an expert at that now for a couple months now too. Especially with all the help I get from Auntie Holly.
