Six Months!

Yesterday I turned 6 months old! Mommy kept saying what a big boy I was now but I don't really feel any bigger. She weighed me today and was 20 1/2 lbs. I guess maybe that is big! Mama got me dressed in my Twins outfit for my pictures at JCPenney's. Auntie went with us and we were all so excited but it was HORRIBLE!

I don't know all the details so you'll have to ask Mommy but we waited FOREVER for everything and the photographer was not funny at all. In fact, I just thought she was weird and she put me in a super weird position that made me unhappy. Afterwards Mama stopped for some supper at Carino's and that took FOREVER too. I ended up falling asleep in my car seat because I was SO tired. I didn't get to bed until 2 hours after my bedtime and couldn't sleep at all so Mommy finally brought me in bed with her and Daddy.

Mommy was REALLY unhappy about the whole day and she kept saying how she was going to "give them a piece of her mind". She sure must be super smart if she's giving away parts of her brain! On Monday I get to go to Wal-mart and have my pictures taken again. I know it will go so much better.

Practice makes perfect!

Lately I've been wanting to practice everything. The other day Grandma brought a book over for Mama and I stole it, so I could practice my "reading". Mama let me practice using the remote control too. She doesn't seem to think that one is very important but she sure seems to use it quite a bit! And just today Mama was helping practice sitting alone. I still can't do it for more than a few seconds, but I'll get there. But the most fun of all is when Mommy helps me practice standing. I would love to do that all day long!

Fun with Auntie Holly

I love when Auntie stops by in the afternoons when she gets done with work...she is always so much fun. She makes all these really silly noises that make me giggle! And she is always doing weird stuff to me too. Like today she put her big sunglasses on me! They felt really weird and they made Auntie and Mama laugh so hard. And she put her headband on me too. That made them giggle too! Don't they know that I'm a boy? Girls are so weird! Then she helped Mommy give me a bath since Daddy is so busy in the field. She's so nice. I got to use my new bumble bee towel. It's so soft...it's organic, you know. Days with Auntie are so much fun!

Mother's Day

I had my very first Mother's Day with Mama. Daddy picked out a really pretty jewelry box for me to give her and I think she loved it. We went to church and Grandma and Grandpa even joined us there. Then we went to eat at Castle Rock in Hawley. It was SUPER busy and we had to wait FOREVER for a table. By the time we got home, I was super tired and SO ready for a nap. But it was a fun day and I think Mommy enjoyed it. Can't wait until next year when I can help pick out her present!

Food

I am loving this new solid food thing. I love to eat my oatmeal cereal, even mixed with formula. But I'm such a big boy now, I only drink from bottles so no more nursing for Mommy. I tried sweet potatoes for the first time today and love those too! Can't wait to see what I get to try next!

Walks

Whenever it's nice outside, I get to go with Mommy and Grandma for walks to the farm. Today I even got to visit Daddy while he was working! Those walks sure do wear me out though!

My new jumperoo!

Daddy put my new jumperoo together for me and I got to try it out on Sunday after church. Boy is it fun! At first I just played with the toys and Mommy helped me bounce around, but soon enough I got the hang of it. Now I can bounce and dance the day away!

Carmen's Birthday

On Saturday I got to go with Mommy and Auntie to Carmen's 30th birthday party at Bennigan's. I sat in a restaurant high-chair for the first time. It was fine at first but then I got really ansy. But Margaret played with me a lot - she is so much fun! But it got past my bedtime and I got tired and fussy. I slept the whole car ride home!
