Baby K Pics

I don't really understand it yet but Daddy and Mama said that I'm going to have a baby sibling. They try to have me kiss Mommy's belly but I like to bite it and hit it instead. Mommy went in for an ultrasound and got pictures of the baby. They say the baby looks a little like me and Daddy but looks more like Mommy. Maybe someday I'll figure out what all this means.

Christmas Card Family Picture Attempt

Mommy and Daddy tried to have Auntie take a picture of all of us by the Christmas tree. It was so boring though and I was tired, so I just wouldn't sit still. I don't think Mama and Daddy were too happy with me. They ended up just taking a picture of the two of them without me!

My 1st Birthday Party

I had my very first birthday party ever on November 15th. There were lots of people there to help me celebrate. I had so much fun and got all kinds of gifts. Mommy and Daddy said I get to have a birthday every year!

1st Year Pictures

On November 11, Mommy and Auntie Holly took me in for my one year pictures. I fell asleep on the way into town so I was fussy and needy during my pictures. But the lady taking pictures was really funny and she somehow still got me to smile during my pictures.

Auntie played with me while Mama ordered some pictures. When we got home, I was wide awake and in a really goofy mood. Mommy said too bad I hadn't been like the for my pictures. But I think they still turned out really cute. But I'm always cute : )

First Halloween

On October 31, it was my very first Halloween. Mama dressed me up as Blue from "Blue's Clues", my favorite show!

Mommy took me over to Grandma Donna's so she could see me all dressed up. Grandma gave me a couple of Halloween books and a cupcake - yummy! Then Mom and me went into FUB's where Auntie Holly was too. They all thought I looked so cute in my costume! We had supper and then FUB fed me some chocolate from their candy basket. I LOVE chocolate.

I fell asleep on the car ride home but was wide awake when we got home. Daddy finally got done with work so we got to play together for a little while before I was ready for bed.

Fixing the house

There have been guys fixing stuff at our house this week so Mama and I went to play at Grandpa Ronnie and Grandma Donna's house. There are lots of new fun things to get into over there. The one day I found a basket full of Grandpa's underwear so I had fun playing with that. Mommy kept taking pictures and laughing, while Grandma kept telling her to stop.

I really like playing on the new flooring...it sure is slippery. When I'm in my walker, bumper cars is so much more exciting!

Random Stuff

I like to do goofy things like try on Mama's clothes and play with Auntie Holly's pink purse. Mommy thinks it's cute but always says, "Don't tell Daddy!"

Daddy let me try some of his chocolate cookie for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Boy was it tasty!

1st Haircut

I had my first haircut on Tuesday September 23. Daddy and Mommy took my to Li'l Whipper Snippers. The chair had a strap on it and everything so I wasn't going anywhere! And the lady let me sit and watch Elmo while she cut my hair.

At first I wanted to grab her scissors so she gave me a comb to play with that is like the one Grandpa Ronnie let's me play with. I had fun with that. I wasn't so sure what to think of the razor...it tickled. But I was a big boy throughout it all.

Mommy says I don't look like her baby anymore and that now I officially look like a big boy.

Play Date

I had my first official play date on Saturday September 20th. It was a BBQ at Stephanie and Adam's house. Mommy used to work with Stephanie, Jes and Dana. Jes and Kelvin were there with their three boys - Brandon (6th grade) and Sean (4th grade) who played PS3 in the basement, and Aiden (14 months) who I got to play with. Also Dana and Brent were there with their daughter Autumn (14 months - 4 days older than Aiden). I got to play with her too!

They are a bit older than I am but I still had lots of fun hanging out with them. I don't usually get to play with many kids, except my cousins and I hardly ever see them. So I had a ton of fun!

Pulling Up

I finally figured out how to pull myself up on things so now I do it all the time, to everything! First I figured out how to pull myself up in my crib so Mama raised the side thinking I wouldn't be able to do it. But I still figured it out! I was so proud of myself! Mommy and Daddy were really proud too, except Mama says now I won't nap or go to sleep at bedtime anymore. Sometimes I even wake Mommy up in the middle of the night and she finds me standing in my crib! I think it's fun but I don't think it makes her too happy!

I pull myself up onto other furniture as well, like the ottoman, entertainment center and the couches. Oh and my favorite? I love to pull myself up on the gates that Daddy installed. They might be able to keep me out of places but they can't keep my from having fun!

New Stuff

There's been a lot of new stuff going on. Mommy and Daddy bought me a new toy to help me stand and walk. Daddy even let me help put it together, though I liked chewing on the pieces more than helping. We got a new faucet in the kitchen. Mama said it was for Baby K but Daddy let's me take baths in there because it's so much fun.

I have a total of 8 teeth now - 4 on top and 4 on bottom. Finally those silly two front teeth came in; they bothered me for quite some time! And the other night I learned how to climb the basement stairs. Daddy stayed behind me so I wouldn't fall but I did it all on my own. I ALMOST made it all the way to the top but got pooped out.

Packers vs Vikings

On Monday Sept 8, I got to watch the big Packers vs. Vikings game with Dad. I think Daddy was really excited for the game. We got to watch it in the basement on Daddy's big screen TV. At first I was a bit bored so I played w/ my toys. But then the Packers scored a touchdown and I got really excited and thought it was lots of fun. Pretty soon I realized I could play with my toys AND watch the game. I almost made it to the end of the game, but not quite...I got too tired. But I was so excited to hear the Packers beat the Vikings!
